Newcastle United superkid Haris Vuckic hopes to make a senior breakthrough against QPR this weekend.

The Slovenian has impressed since returning from knee and ankle problems this month and is eager to make up for lost time after a six month stint on the sidelines.

Vuckic told the Evening Chronicle: "Like any young player my aim is to play in the first team.

"I would love to be involved in a first-team game again. I got a taste of it earlier in the season and it would be great to do it again."
