Valenciennes striker Isaac Mbenza admits he has Premier League ambitions.
The young Belgian has been a revelation in France this season and been watched by the likes of Newcastle United, Aston Villa and West Ham United.
Mbenza, a current U19 international, admits he came close to leaving VA last summer.
"There were several foreign clubs interested, Belgium and England in particular, in the Premier League and Championship. I almost left for one of these foreign clubs," he recalled to Foot Mercato.
Mbenza admits he could leave VA this summer with new contract talks stalling.
Asked where he'd like to move, the youngster declared: "England, the Premier League, it makes me feel good. The game is more direct. I like the style of play, spectacular, I really like it a lot."
