Newcastle United insist they've fielded no approach for Danny Guthrie.

The Scouser has been linked with a loan move to Nottingham Forest.

But last night, the Evening Chronicle says United were insisting there had been no official inquiry for the player so far.

Guthrie would welcome a move to the City Ground.
