Newcastle United are unlikely to pursue a deal for Sturm Graz defender Anel Hadzic.

The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle were linked to Anel Hadzic, a defensive midfielder who played for Bosnia-Herzegovina at the World Cup.

But it is understood the player's agent has offered the 24-year-old to the club, rather than United actively pursuing the Sturm Graz player.
