Central Coast Mariners youngster Mustafa Amini is preparing to head to Europe later this week for a trial with English Premier League club Newcastle United.

The 17-year old midfielder came on in leaps and bounds in the A-League season, making 23 appearances for the Mariners, who finished runners-up to the all-conquering Brisbane Roar.

Now he will try his luck overseas with a trial in Germany with Borussia Dortmund, home of ex-Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Mitch Langerak, before heading to the north of England to train with the Toon.

fourfourtwo.com.au has revealed that Amini has been invited by both of the clubs and will jet off at the end of this week.
