QPR offered Adel Taarabt to Newcastle United on deadline day.
The 11pm deadline fell with Taarabt still a QPR player, despite the Moroccan being available since the end of last season.
The Rs attempted to offload Taarabt to Newcastle in the afternoon, but Toon boss Alan Pardew was not interested.
The midfielder spent the second-half of lasts season on-loan with AC Milan.
