After being turned down by Loic Remy, Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is casting his net wide for a new striker signing.
Pardew was trumped by QPR last week for former Marseille striker Remy, who struck on debut against West Ham United.
Newcastle are still shopping on the continent, with Pardew turning to Bordeaux forward Yoann Gouffran, along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Saint-Etienne and PSV Eindhoven's Jeremain Lens, to solve his goalscoring woes.
