Newcastle United are eyeing Benfica striker Rodrigo Moreno.
The Daily Express says although he signed a five-year deal with the Portuguese outfit for around £4.8m in 2010, the forward is believed to be keen to spread his wings and test himself at a higher level.
The Magpies already have Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba and Shola Ameobi on the books, but Moreno could provide reliable cover as a fourth striker.
And with manager Alan Pardew looking to strengthen his squad in January, Machado may be worth taking a punt on.
