Premier League clubs are circling Celtic for Scott Brown.

The Sunday Mail says Brown is free to quit Parkhead for NOTHING on Thursday.

The Hoops star is able to sign a pre-contract agreement with interested clubs this week.

Brown's deal runs out on May 31, 2012 and under freedom of contract rules he is allowed to open negotiations elsewhere six months in advance.

Newcastle United, Tottenham and West Ham United have all been credited with an interest in the 26-year-old former Hibs midfielder.

But Celtic boss Neil Lennon is desperate for him to stay. A new four-and-a-half year contract for Brown is in the final stages of being agreed but there is a stumbling block over the fee to his agents.

However, Brown's advisor Bob Hayne insists negotiations are ongoing over that part of the deal.

Hayne said: "It is incorrect to suggest Scott hasn't signed a new deal because of agents fees. We are in discussions with Celtic over a few things to do with the contract and other aspects of it. Those negotiations will continue."
