Newcastle to miss striker Mitrovic for two weeks

Newcastle United will be without striker Aleksandar Mitrovic for two weeks due to a knee injury, according to Sky Sports.

The report claims that the Serbian has suffered a medial knee ligament injury and hasn't travelled with the squad on their warm weather training camp in La Manga, Spain.

Luckily for the relegation-threatened Magpies, their next match does not take place until March 2 against Stoke City meaning Mitrovic could still recover in time.

Siem de Jong, Paul Dummett and Vurnon Anita have all recovered from their respective injuries and have travelled with the squad as they seek solace in the sunny Spanish weather ahead of their all-important season run-in.
