Newcastle United are the latest team to be linked with a move for England international Andros Townsend.
With city rivals Sunderland as well as Aston Villa keen on the Tottenham wideman, Newcastle are prioritising Townsend and are believed to be preparing a £10million offer.
Townsend appears not to feature in Tottenham boss Mauricio Pc]ochettino´s plans for next season and could be the next face to leave Spurs as the rebuilding process at the north London club continue.
Newcastle boss Steve McClaren is confident that he can attract Townsend to St James' Park and, having already captured the signing of Dutchman Georginio Wijnaldum, is determined to continue bringing quality to the Tyneside club this summer.
