Newcastle tell Celtic to forget buying Forster

Newcastle United have made it very clear that goalkeeper Fraser Forster will be returning to the club in the summer.

The 23-year old gloveman, who has been impressive on loan at Celtic this season, is a wanted man by the Hoops but Magpies boss Alan Pardew said he will not be sold to the Glasgow giants.

"I certainly won't be accepting an offer of something like £2million from Celtic," he said.

The last time I spoke to Fraser I made it clear he'd be coming back for pre-season. "I told him he will be given the chance to fight it out for a place in the first team.

"I don't want to bring in a new keeper because I expect the three we have to start pre-season."
