Samuel Inkoom has revealed he's decided to join FC Basel as a launching pad into the English Premier League.

Newcastle United took a close look at Inkoom during the January market and the Ghana youngster explained to ghanasoccernet.com: "I must start somewhere and Switzerland will prepare me for the future because I want to play one day in England.

"Stephen Appiah is my mentor and I talked to him. Alex Nyarko has also played in Switzerland and advised me on how to play here."
