Newcastle target Grenier pushing to leave Lyon

Clement Grenier wants to leave Olympique Lyon this summer.

Le Progress says the France midfielder is determined to quit OL for a move abroad.

Grenier came close to joining Newcastle United in January and manager Alan Pardew remains keen. The ball-winning midfielder has also been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham.

Lyon coach Hubert Fournier has expected to lose Grenier this summer.

"Clement has requested a release at the end of last season. The club also hoped for new offers. The club told him that if the interests of the club were met, then why not?"

AC Milan and Inter Milan are also in talks with Grenier's camp this week.
