Newcastle United are making a revised new contract offer to defender Steven Taylor.
The Daily Mail says Toon have put a second contract offer on the table for Taylor as they look to tie the central defender to the club.
Taylor's current deal expires in the summer and he remains on the transfer list but the 24-year-old has continually claimed he wants to stay at St James' Park.
The player's representatives, according to reports on Tyneside, have not responded to the second offer from the club after turning down the first.
It has been reported that Taylor is holding out for as much as £60,000 a week although this has been denied by his people. Taylor's current weekly wage is an estimated £40,000.
