Sky Sports is reporting that Newcastle United have suspended coach Willie Donachie for disciplinary reasons. Newcastle have refused to comment on the situation, but it is understood there was an alleged confrontation with a player.

Former Scottish international Donachie has been with Newcastle since joining in 2009.

He has held various roles in the academy, and is currently in charge of the reserve team at St James' Park.
