According to recent reports in France, Celtic are likely to be priced out of the valuation of long-term target Papy Djilobodji.
Scottish giants Celtic had identified the defender as the long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk, who has been linked with a summer departure, but the asking price of more than £5million seems to have put the Hoops off the trail.
This development has allowed English clubs such as Newcastle United, Sunderland, and Stoke City to join the chase for Djilobodji.
The 26-year old Senegal international has featured 141 times for the Ligue 1 club FC Nantes since his move to the club in 2010 and has impressed this season.
