Newcastle United continue to haggle with PSV Eindhoven over a fee for Jeroen Zoet.
The Daily Mail says Toon boss Alan Pardew was hoping to have Zoet's signature wrapped up by now, but Newcastle's negotiators have hit a snag over the fee, with talk of a £2.5million deal falling well short of PSV's asking price.
The Dutch side are believed to be holding out for up to £6million and are also aware that he can look forward to a Champions' League campaign by staying put.
