Newcastle United are struggling to secure skipper Fabricio Coloccini to a new deal.

The People says Toon bosses have made no progress in their contract talks with defender Coloccini.

An offer is on the table and the Argentina defender accepts he will have to take a pay cut from his current £80,000-a-week deal.

However, talks have so far hit stalled.
