Newcastle United striker Emmanuel Riviere has spoken of his time at AS Monaco with James Rodriguez.
The Colombian moved to Real Madrid this week for €80 million.
"It was a great experience for me to play alongside a player like that," Riviere told The Sun.
"It was very nice to play with him because he is a brilliant No 10 - his passing is good and he is always looking to switch play.
"He is one of the best players in the world and I learnt a lot from him and developed a great deal.
"But now I have gone to expand my career with my new team and I want to work hard to improve."
