Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse will resist a move to Borussia Monchengladbach this month.

Cisse has been linked with a swap involving Gladbach striker Luuk de Jong.

The Evening Chronicle says the switch does not suit Cisse because there is no guarantee of the regular first team football he craves at United.
