Newcastle United crock Papiss Cisse insists he can still play on this season.

Newcastle's 13-goal top scorer has been laid low with a cracked rib, sparking a major injury scare for Alan Pardew.

But Cisse, 27, was back training yesterday and is ready to carry on in discomfort. The hitman picked up the injury against Benfica earlier this month.

Cisse has been pencilled in to figure in Saturday's game with Liverpool.
