Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse has a FIFA ban hanging over him.

The Daily Star says Toon top brass were last night holding talks with the Senegal FA, who are angry that the striker failed to link up with the squad ahead of their match with Niger.

They are ready to invoke FIFA's five-day rule, which would see the star suspended for their ­visit of Swansea City for withdrawing without a valid reason.
