Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez feels they're showing the right attitude in their attempts to beat the drop.

Perez says Newcastle showed “passion" and “fought" against Manchester City – and must do the same in the final four games if they're to avoid relegation.

“We could have won the game at the end," he told the Evening Chronicle. “It was a good point. We fought, and that's important for us. We are in a good way.

“We are playing as a team. We are one - the fans and us. It's a good feeling.

“We have to keep going in this way. We are closer now and we need to keep fighting.

“After Saturday, we got more confident. It's important for us. We know what to do and we work together as a unit.

“We showed some passion and we fought. It was a good point for us."
