Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong admits he entered preseason "buzzing" after helping England to win the U17 Euros.
He suffered an ankle injury but was delighted to be part of the team that won it.
Armstrong told the Evening Chronicle: "I was buzzing at the time.
"It's now back to our clubs and get at it again."
And reflecting on the success he's experienced in a short space of time, he said: "Last year I was with the Academy doing pre-season with them.
"This year I'm with the first team."
