Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi has urged Papiss Cisse to prove himself worthy of the No9 shirt.
Ameobi, 30, is set to be on the bench again at West Brom today.
"Personally, it's been frustrating. You want to play every game," said Ameobi.
"It's a squad game in this day and age, but I've not got many years left and I want to make the most of them.
"There's Papiss, too, who's a natural goalscorer. He makes things out of nothing. It will take him time to settle in, but Demba has been great for him.
"I truly hope Papiss can be a great No 9."
