Newcastle United are looking to strengthen their ties with SC Braga.

Pardew is already looking forward to welcoming the Portuguese League Cup winners to St James' Park next week.

Newcastle will roll out the red carpet to Braga after the northern Portuguese side allowed them exclusive use of their facilities last week.

Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "We want to say a big thank you to Braga - obviously they will come and visit us.

"We have a good relationship with them."
