Newcastle United are ready to try again for Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk de Jong.
The Daily Mail says the Magpies attempted to sign the 23-year-old two seasons ago when he was still playing for FC Twente, but are believed to have failed with a £10million bid.
The Holland international was the subject of an enquiry from Stoke also.
