Newcastle United are stepping up talks for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The Journal says Toon are hoping to broker a deal for Lacazette, who would be blue-chip addition to Newcastle's ranks.

Lacazette talked up a proposed move to Juventus last week.

The striker has also been linked with Arsenal.
