Newcastle United are chasing Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Facundo Ferreyra.
The Daily Star Sunday says they have made a new enquiry about Argentinian Ferreyra, who the Magpies monitored in 2011 when he played for Banfield in his home country.
He joined Ukrainian champions Shakhtar last summer in a £6m move from Velez Sarsfield.
Ferreyra, 23 and nicknamed 'Chucky', hit six goals in his first season in Ukraine, including a hat-trick in a 7-0 home win against Arsenal Kiev.
