Loic Remy is determined to help fire Newcastle United up the table this season.
After last season's 16th-place finish, the on-loan QPR striker is confident of big improvements.
"I had a look around and was surprised at the size of the stadium, even though I had already heard from a lot of people just how impressive it is," Remy told nufcTV.
"Everyone has been very friendly since I arrived and I am looking forward to playing my first match, whenever that will be.
"I haven't quite imagined what that will be like - it's difficult to imagine because there are no people in at the moment! But I can feel that it's a big stadium and I'm looking forward to feeling and experiencing that sort of atmosphere once it's full.
"I only had half a season in the Premier League last year so am looking forward to a full season this time around.
"Hopefully I can show the fans and the Club exactly what I am capable of, both with my goals and my team play.
"I hope to settle in as quickly as possible. I don't see any reason why I shouldn't. I think the quality of the players at the Club is excellent and I hope and believe that the public will accept me into the Club as soon as possible.
"With it being World Cup year it is an important season for me and I want to impress.
"I feel the Premier League is great for me as an attacker. The opportunities for a player of my position are better in England than they are in France."
