Newcastle United are on the brink of signing Sochaux striker Modibo Maiga.
The Sun says Toon have reopened negotiations for Sochaux striker Maiga and expect to seal a £7million deal this week.
Maiga, who scored 15 goals for Sochaux last season, has been offered a four-and-a-half year deal by Newcastle.
He will become Pardew's fourth signing from France this year following the arrivals of Yohan Cabaye, Sylvain Marveaux and Mehdi Abeid.
