Newcastle set to sell raft of fringe players

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is set to sell a raft of fringe players this summer.

The Sunday Express says defender Mike Williamson, winger Gabriel Obertan and midfielders Dan Gosling, Roman Amalfitano and Mehdi Abeid, could go.

Long-serving keeper Steve Harper, 38, and right-back Danny Simpson, 26, are free agents and also heading out the door.
