Striker Leon Best looks set to become the first Newcastle United casualty under Alan Pardew's reign.
The 24-year old Irishman is likely to be offloaded in the January transfer window with reports suggesting that Championship club Middlesbrough are keen.
Best has not made a first team appearance for the Magpies this term after just 13 league matches in the Championship-winning season of 2009/10.
