Newcastle send Stone to check on PSV winger Lens

Newcastle United remain keen on PSV Eindhoven winger Jeremain Lens.

The Evening Chronicle says Toon boss Alan Pardew on Friday night dispatched his highly-rated first-team coach Steve Stone to Holland on another scouting mission.

United are understood to be keen on PSV Eindhoven’s speedy winger Lens.

The midfielder impressed in the goalless draw with Rangers at the Philips Stadion.
