Newcastle to sell raft of senior fringe players

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is ready to sell a raft of senior players.

The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle are likely to listen to offers for Hatem Ben Arfa, Sylvain Marveaux, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Gabriel Obertan, Davide Santon, Papiss Cisse and Jonas Gutierrez.

Romain Amalfitano is almost certainly about to be moved on and defender James Tavernier wants a permanent move to Rotherham United after failing to get a sniff in the first team in recent years, despite making a good level of progress as a senior player without being rewarded with opportunities.
