Newcastle United are set to cash in on Argentina winger Jonas Gutierrez.

The Sunday Mirror says Gutierrez, 26, is set to end his Newcastle nightmare by signing for Italian giants Roma in a £6million deal in January.

The Argentine midfielder moved to Newcastle in 2008 but has failed to score in 43 games.

Argentina coach Diego Maradona has warned Jonas he risks his World Cup place by playing in the Championship.
