Newcastle seeking loan clubs for Abeid, Ferguson
Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew wants to send Mehdi Abeid and Shane Ferguson away on-loan.
Pardew would also have sent Sammy Ameobi out on loan by now if the young winger had not suffered a serious injury last month.
He told the Sunday Sun: “I will look to loan others. I am a great believer in young professionals playing men’s football week in, week out.
“We are trying to get Abeid out. He needs to play regular football for us.
“It might be difficult for him at Championship level.
“Most clubs are overloaded with midfield players but we would like to get him a good position in League One if not the Championship.”
