Newcastle United are tracking Wolfsburg defender Robin Knoche.

Newcastle have agreed terms with AS Roma over the sale of Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, where he is currently on-loan, and are in the market for a replacement.

The Sunday Sun says the club have run the rule over Knoche of VfL Wolfsburg, who is a Germany under-21 defender.

Standing at 1.9m, Knoche has spent his entire pro career with Wolfsburg.
