Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is keen to add more English talent to his squad in January.
The Evening Chronicle says United's scouting network are already scouring the European scene for fresh targets while emphasis will remain on English talent during the winter.
Pardew is a big fan of Blackpool's Thomas Ince, while Leeds United youngster Sam Byram is also a player the club are aware of.
