"It was awesome," Zadkovich told the Newcastle Herald.
"The hype was incredible. Every time Beckham touched the ball there was a buzz around the ground.
"Then when he scored with that free kick the crowd went crazy.
"It would be brilliant for football in this region to have a quality player like him come and play here. It would also be a big occasion for the boys."
