Genoa are reportedly preparing a bid for Newcastle striker Michael Owen.

The England international's contract is up and reports in the Italian media are linking him with a move to Genoa, where he could join forces with Serie A's leading goalscorer Diego Milito.

In the past, Owen has also been linked with both Juventus and Inter Milan.
