Ljubo Milicevic will meet with the Professional Footballers Association after walking out on his current club, Newcastle Jets. The former FC Thun and Melbourne Victory defender returned to Melbourne after a heated exchange with Jets coach Gary van Egmond.
Details of the spat are unknown but reports suggest it had to do with conflicting opinions of the coach and player.
Milicevic has been in good form in the Jets two Asian Champions League matches and was believed to have been offered the captaincy but turned it down.
The 28-year old will now meet with the PFA to try and get out of his one-year deal with the Jets.
