Newcastle Jets defender Ljubo Milicevic has been involved in another training ground confrontation, this time with a teammate.
The troubled 28-year old has been in the media for all the wrong reasons recently and it seems he cannot stay away from controversy although this incident has been described as a 'storm in a teacup' by coach Gary van Egmond.
Milicevic and young striker Sean Rooney nearly came to blows at the Jets training ground yesterday but van Egmond played it down.
"There was a bit of frustration, which is not bad to see sometimes,'' he told The Herald.
"It shows that people care.
"But we have to try and make sure that our focus is on getting better as a team and on what we are trying to do, not argue between ourselves.
"We have to find a solution if things don't go right. There is no use arguing on the pitch. Against Beijing we can't afford that. We have to stick together.''
Milicevic defended his antics, saying he is just trying to educate the younger players.
"All I want is the best for the team," Milicevic said.
"It is obvious some boys don't get it, and they are the ones who cop sprays.
"I've been here for three months and there are some kids who don't want to learn. They make excuses after games, but at training they don't work on it."
