Newcastle's Ireland and Best to receive sanction from Pardew

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew insists that Stephen Ireland and Leon Best will both be disciplined when they return to the club next week.

The pair, both injured, were photographed at a Newcastle nightclub the night before the Magpies lost 4-0 to Stoke City with reserve team player Stephen Folan, breaking a team rule.

Despite neither Ireland or Best playing the next day, they were clearly in breach of the club's guidelines and Toon boss Alan Pardew has made it clear they will have to answer for their actions after the international break.

"All I want to say on that is that as Leon Best has travelled with Ireland, we've not faced each other yet," Pardew, told the Evening Chronicle.

"There will be discipline involved, for sure, but I want to see all three together in my office before I say anything more."
