Beijing Guoan loanee Joel Griffiths scored as his side defeated Dalian Shide 2-1 in the nation’s capital last night.
The Australian striker opened the scoring in the 16th minute with his fifth goal of the season before Zambian forward James Chamanga equalised for Dalian in the 70th minute.
With four minutes remaining, Chinese midfielder Jiang Lu restored Beijing’s lead and their spot on top of the table.
