Newcastle Jets owner Con Constantine has revealed that star player Joel Griffiths will join Chinese club Beijing Guoan on loan. The loan is believed to be for 11 months and worth over a $1million all up.

Griffiths will not be able to play against Newcastle in the Asian Champions League who have drawn Guoan in their group.

The 29-year old will link up with younger brother Ryan at the Chinese club.
