Newcastle's Good returns from Dundee Utd for injury treatment

Dundee United loanee Curtis Good has returned to parent club Newcastle United to receive treatment on an injury sustained on international duty last week.

The 20-year old defender strained his hip flexor in Australia's 4-3 international friendly loss to Ecuador in London on Wednesday and is expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks.

Former Melbourne Heart youngster Good had impressed for the Socceroos before coming off with just over 20 minutes remaining as his side capitulated in the second half at Millwall's The Den.

The injury is a blow to Good, who had been starring on loan for Scottish Premiership side United, but has now been forced back to St James' Park for treatment.

Socceroos head coach Ange Postecoglou will be hoping Good can recover swiftly from the injury so he can play as much as senior football as he can when he returns to the pitch in mid-to-late April.
