Curtis Good admits the standard of the Scottish Premiership was much better than he expected.
The 20-year old Newcastle United defender spent just over a month with Dundee United before he had to cut his four-month loan short because of an adductor strain suffered on international duty with Australia last week.
Good made five starts for the Tangerines during his stay at Tannadice Park and has revealed that the level of play was higher than he thought it would be before he headed north of the border.
"I've loved it, to be honest. I went up there and we got a good run of results, which was good," Good, who could return to Dundee once he recovers from injury, told Newcastle's official website.
"Confidence was high so it was a good environment to be at, so I've thoroughly enjoyed it and hopefully I'll be back up there soon.
"It's a very decent standard - I was surprised actually because I'd never really watched it except Celtic and Rangers. But I'm very impressed with the standard and there are some really good young players there."
