Newcastle's Good dreaming of Scottish Cup final with Dundee Utd

Newcastle United youngster Curtis Good is hoping to prove his fitness ahead of this year's Scottish Cup final.

The 21-year old Australian defender is back on loan with Dundee United after returning to parent club Newcastle with a hip flexor injury he sustained on international duty in March.

Good is back in training with the Tangerines and although he is taking a cautious approach, he would love to be passed fit in time for the cup final against St Johnstone at Celtic Park on May 17.

"The recovery is going well," Good told FourFourTwo.

"I'm hoping to be training by the end of the week. We'll have to wait and see about the cup final though. Yeah it would be amazing (to play in it), especially if we win."

He added: "I'm just being safe with it.

"There was a little bit of bleeding. Just a small setback."
